Les élastomères thermoplastiques de polyuréthane (TPU) se sont imposés comme une alternative aux élastomères traditionnels dans un certain nombre d’applications grâce à la facilité de mise en œuvre, à leur excellent comportement mécanique, et les possibilités de recyclage. En revanche, leur comportement en fatigue a été peu étudié. En l’absence de procédure établie pour évaluer la résistance à la fatigue des TPU, nous avons proposé une méthode basée sur la propagation de fissure qui permet de comparer la résistance à la fatigue des TPU avec les élastomères vulcanisés. L’évolution de la microstructure des TPU pendant la sollicitation cyclique est aussi analysée pour expliquer la haute résistance à la fatigue par rapport à de nombreux élastomères traditionnels.<\/p>\n
